On the 8th December almost 90 woodwind players from across Hull joined the woodwind staff at the Albemarle Centre for our annual Christmas Woodwind Day. We had pupils who haven’t been playing their instruments for very long and those who are more experienced and we enjoyed a great day of festive music making. It was a great chance to make new friends, catch up with friends from other schools and listen to and play some great music. After a day of rehearsing we put on a short performance for parents and friends at the end of the day and we had a great audience. We hope to welcome many of you to take part in our ensembles every week at the Albemarle centre, the Training and Junior windbands are a great place to meet new friends and develop your playing.
“I really liked the fun rehearsal and socialising. I also liked playing little donkey all together and listening to the oboe.” MacKenzie Carr-Dixon
“I love going to the Albemarle Music Centre, it was my third time. I made lots of new friends and enjoyed playing in front of an audience” Owen Killey
Thanks for your brilliant playing. We wish you all a very happy Christmas,
The Woodwind Team.
