National Youth Jazz Orchestra and Hull Jazz Festival
We were lucky enough to host some amazing workshops last week through our partnerships with the Hull Jazz Festival and as part of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra Regional Academy.
Our string players were able to work with former Hull Music Service pupil, Matt Holburn and his band in two workshops. This was a great opportunity for our musicians to improvise as a group and work with Matt and his band.
The NYJO regional academy brings musicians from across Hull, the East Riding and Lincolnshire to work with members of the NYJO. The initial workshops started online so it was great to host a live music making session at the Albemarle. To find out more please go to https://www.nyjo.org.uk/

It is fantastic to welcome so many young musicians back to the Albemarle each week.
Parents, friends and family are welcome to join us for open rehearsals, these will take place in the usual rehearsal during the week beginning the 6th December.
